Terms of service.
Purpose:
To ensure clients understand the nature, purpose, risks, and limits of counselling services provided by Career Confidence.
1. Nature of Counselling:
Counselling at Career Confidence aims to support clients with issues related to career transitions, burnout recovery, workplace wellbeing, and personal development.
Evidence-based modalities may include Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
2. Confidentiality:
All information shared during sessions is confidential except where:
There is risk of harm to self or others
Child protection or legal reporting is required
Records are subpoenaed by court order
3. Limits of Service:
Counselling is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. Clients are encouraged to seek specialist or crisis support if experiencing acute mental health issues.
4. Session Format:
Sessions are delivered via secure telehealth video conferencing. Clients agree to attend sessions in a private, safe environment free from distractions.
5. Fees and Payment:
Session fees are payable at or before each session via bank transfer or online payment.
Current rates are displayed in the service brochure or website.
6. Cancellation Policy:
At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellation or rescheduling. Late cancellations or non-attendance may incur a full session fee.
7. Consent:
By signing or submitting this form electronically, you acknowledge understanding of the service terms, risks, confidentiality limits, and consent to proceed with counselling under these conditions.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Purpose:
To ensure transparency and fairness regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds for telehealth counselling sessions.
1. Appointment Changes:
Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments up to 24 hours before the scheduled session without penalty.
2. Late Cancellations:
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will incur the full session fee, except in cases of genuine emergency or illness at the discretion of the counsellor.
3. No-Show Policy:
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice will incur the full session fee.
4. Refunds:
Refunds will only be issued where a payment has been made in advance and the session was cancelled in accordance with the policy (minimum 24 hours’ notice).
5. Package Sessions:
For prepaid packages (e.g., 3- or 6-session bundles), unused sessions may be rescheduled but not refunded after commencement of the program unless exceptional circumstances apply.
6. Counsellor Cancellations:
If Career Confidence must cancel or reschedule, clients will be notified promptly and offered a rebooking or full refund.
